I think I might like Explorations these days more than Portrait In Jazz…
I go back and forth. Funny how we feel we have to rank and rate. There are only the two studio albums, I love them both! Why isn’t that enough 😂
I also group Sunday / and Waltz for Debby as well with those two studio albums (even though they’re live)
Well picking between those two is harder still!
At least with the two studio albums you have a sense that they have different histories.
Hats off to Keepnews and Riverside for crafting two live albums from the same sessions that feel so different!
